Your campsite in Angers, France: Nature, comfort & Loire Valley
Welcome to the garden of France
Nestled at the heart of the vineyards of Angers and the Loire Valley, Camping de l'etang is happy to welcome you to its lush, green 4-star campsite. Set around the former farmhouse of the Château de Brissac, Camping de l'etang benefits from a preserved natural environment that's perfect for rest and recreation.
We always go the extra mile to make your stay as comfortable as possible - and in complete harmony with nature!
And because a great holiday requires total peace of mind and well-being, our exceptional site is also impeccably maintained. We put a priority on hygiene. Our aim is to keep everything, and especially the washrooms, as meticulously clean as possible, no matter how busy the site is.
A 4-star campsite at 3 hours from Ouistreham/Caen, 5 hours from Calais and 2,5 hours from Saint Malo (even if you’re towing)
We’re deep into the french historical countryside but easy to find and close to motorways A11 and A87 and main roads. We’re also on the way to south of France if you just want to stop after the ferry.
Wide and flat touring pitches
Despite being set in some 20 acres (8 hectares), we've decided to keep our quality-certified campsite on the small side. We deliberately limit the size of our camping to 110 wide and flat touring pitches of minimum 100m2 and 40 rental properties that are mostly wooden-clad to merge in the surrounding countryside. Our pitches are a mix of grass and hardstanding, offering varying degrees of shelter.
4 stars services
The camping de l’Etang boast 2 swimming pools, including a heated indoor pool, and a children's pool. The facilities are suitable for families and include a baby room. There is a restaurant service in the summer and a family activity program in July and August. And there are even free dishwashers for the campers!
What really makes us different is that camping de l’Etang is part of a not-for-profit organisation. Our policy is to employ people with disabilities wherever possible. You’ll find all our staff are knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.
Don’t just take out word for it. Just have a look at the comments on trip advisor!
At a 10-minute walk, discover the charming village of Brissac with its market, its restaurants, its shops, its castle…
From the camping, a delightful pathway takes you right into the small town of Brissac-Quincé in about 10 minutes. Brissac Quincé is a quaint little market town, with lots of old stones buildings, a very laid-back atmosphere and plenty of shops.
Try our very own wine
We even have our own vineyard. As you’d expect, it’s compact – some 17 acres (7 hectares). We produce deliciously refreshing rosé, crisp and fresh white, and even an easy-drinking red. Our weekly free wine tastings are always very popular!
